Terms of use

The rules for using the INAH platform, its directories, learning hub and interest groups.

Version 1.0Last updated 6 November 2026

Draft for legal review. This text must be reviewed and approved by INAH's legal adviser before the platform launches.

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of the International Network for Avian Health (INAH) website and mobile applications ("the platform"). By creating an account you agree to them.

2. Your account

You must give accurate information, keep your password secure and tell us if you suspect someone else is using your account. One account is for one person; organisations are represented by named members.

3. Directory listings and verification

Professional, institution, industry and expert listings are reviewed by INAH before they are published. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you submit. INAH may decline, edit or remove a listing that is inaccurate, misleading or outside the network's purpose.

4. Content you post

You keep ownership of blog posts, discussions, comments and resources you contribute. You give INAH a non-exclusive licence to host and display them on the platform. Do not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringes someone else's rights, discloses confidential client or farm data, or promotes products without disclosure. Editors and group coordinators may moderate or remove content.

5. Professional information

Content on the platform is shared for professional education and discussion. It is not a substitute for a veterinary diagnosis or for national regulations on notifiable diseases.

6. Memberships, courses and events

Paid memberships, courses, webinars and training are billed in advance for the period or programme shown. Prices, inclusions and any refund conditions are shown before you pay. Payments are processed by our payment provider; INAH does not store card details.

7. Certificates

Certificates are issued when the completion or attendance criteria are met and can be verified publicly by their code. INAH may revoke a certificate obtained in breach of these terms.

8. Suspension and closure

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. You can delete your account at any time from Account settings.

9. Liability

The platform is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law, INAH is not liable for indirect losses or for content posted by members.

10. Changes and contact

We will tell you about material changes and ask you to accept the new version. Questions: contact the INAH secretariat using the address in the site footer.
